Established by York University and the University of Victoria in 2006, Research Impact Canada (RIC) is committed to maximizing the impact of academic research for the social, economic, environmental and health benefits of Canadians. What’s unique about RIC is that, when measuring the impact of research, we consider the traditional citation metrics alongside collaboration, mentoring and dialogue. Knowledge mobilization blends both quantitative and qualitative methods of assessing impact to create a more fulsome picture of the true impacts of research.
